ACCOUNTANT

Ensures the timely preparation and submission of grant financial reporting to various funding agencies,

including general ledger reconciliation, and preparation of necessary periodic reports; Provides technical

assistance to program management and properly distributes and classifies all planned expenditures

consistent with applicable federal and state rules, and assists the Budget Officer in developing a cost

allocation plan for all agency shared costs; Assists with the program Grant Allocation Methodology System

(GAMS); Reviews expenditures to ensure that budget limits are not exceeded; Oversees the detailed

reporting of expenditures and encumbrance made by the various operating units and directly responsible

for financial reporting and variance analysis of the grant operating budgets; Reviews and approves payment

documentation submitted by subcontractors, and vendors ensuring the accuracy of costs charged to each

project, and ensures that payments are made within a timely manner of receipt of funds.
