Swing Shift SMT Operator

Paradigm is currently seeking an SMT Operator to work for our client that specializes in electronic contract manufacturing. This person should be able to do rework and solder SMT and through-hole components using a microscope. The two shifts available are Monday - Friday from 6:00AM – 2:30PM and 2:00PM to 10:30PM.

As an SMT Operator, you will:

Operate a pick and place machine (Yamaha YSM20 - MyData 200).

Be able to hand place SMT components.

Set-up feeders for the pick & place machine.

Tear-down feeders when jobs complete and return components to original packaging and job kit.

Component identification.

Communicate all material shortages affecting assemblies to receiving and/or production.

Maintains general cleanliness of work area.

Be present for meetings when the team is planning the schedule.

Our experience, skills, and wish-list include:

Must have two years of experience operating a Pick and Place Machine.

Must be able to identify component types.

Must have excellent manual dexterity and vision.

Can sit for extended periods of time.

Ability to perform repetitive, detailed work using a microscope and small hand tools.

Organized with strong attention to detail.

Must have good written and verbal communication skills.

Reliable, on time attendance, positive attitude, work well with others.

Must be able to lift and transport up to 20 pounds.

Ability to read and understand documentation to process circuit board assembly products.
