CLINICAL DIRECTOR (PSYCHIATRIC SECURITY REVIEW BOARD)

The schedule for this position is typically Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m The position is located in inner SE Portland.

The Clinical Director of Psychiatric Review Board (PSRB) is responsible for oversight of a unique forensic area within Cascadia, while supporting a Trauma Informed Care environment. With the high prevalence of trauma among individuals receiving mental health services, it is required the Clinical Director of PSRB Services understand the effects of trauma on health, coping, and other aspects of the lives of those we serve. This includes clinical model development and implementation, business development and growth, establishing and maintaining good stakeholder and community relationships, providing staff oversight of monitoring and supervision to clients who are under the jurisdiction of the PSRB.

REQUIREMENTS

The must applicant possesses a Master’s Degree in a behavioral science field from an accredited college or university. Must demonstrate the competencies as outlined in the Oregon Administrative Rule’s (OAR) to become credentialed as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP).

Requires a minimum of eight years of clinical experience; this includes PSRB services or forensics.

Requires a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a leadership role, providing staff supervision/performance management

Direct and operate services within site or agency area in a clinically excellent and financially viable manner.

Provide support and training for Program Managers, Supervisors, ICM team, and staff in the PSRB on treatment models, risk mitigation, and community safety considerations

Involved in collaborative treatment planning and services provisions. Assist in establishing clinically excellent treatment approaches, assessing client outcomes, and forensic risk management.

Serve as spokesperson for covered programs, and develop and maintain positive intra-agency and community relationships. Responsible for building coalitions and collaborations within the agency and in the community.
