Job DetailsWhat You Will Do:

• Design, develop and maintain a data platform that is accurate, secure, available and fast
• Engineer efficient, adaptable and scalable data pipelines to process data. Add and maintain a variety of data sources: different databases, APIs, files, logs, events, etc.
• Create standardized datasets to service a wide variety of use cases
• Develop subject-matter expertise in tables, systems, and processes
• Partner with product and engineering to ensure product changes integrate well with the data platform
• Partner with diverse stakeholder teams, understand their challenges, and empower them with data solutions to meet their goals

About You:

• At least 8 years of experience as an Analytics Engineer, Business Intelligence Engineer, or similar role
• You have hands-on and deep experience with schema design, data modeling and data pipelining
• You are proficient in SQL and at least one major language (e.g., Python, Java, PHP)
• You have an eye for detail. You catch & resolve data quality issues before others do.
• You are always looking for opportunities to simplify, automate tasks, and build reusable components. You use good judgment in applying new technologies to solve business problems.
• You strive for elegant and intuitive dataset design
• You build strong relationships with analysts, business and engineering stakeholders to create a productive team culture.
• You are independent. You can prioritize well and break down amorphous problems into concrete tasks based on business context.
• You must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time in an office setting while working

Desired Skills:

• Statistics knowledge is a plus
• Leadership aspiration: this role could grow in scope for the right candidate
• Experience working at a startup or small company
