Quality Assurance Technician

Privately-owned manufacturer of custom blended products used in personal care, sanitary maintenance and industrial cleaning markets is seeking an entry level Quality Assurance Technician. The QA Tech reports to the QA Manager and is responsible for laboratory testing of blended liquids per written SOPs and Good Manufacturing Practices. The QC Technician conducts micro testing, stability and gluten testing on finished products and raw materials, dish washing, and physical testing to ensure that all products meet quality, regulatory and safety standards.

Job responsibilities include:

Daily micro testing of bulk batches and finished goods

Weekly gluten testing of finished goods and raw materials

Accurately and consistently follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Inspection Procedures, Test Methods and verbal instructions

Maintain accurate written records and sample libraries

Place products on hold when deviations are detected

Replenish lab supplies when needed

Maintain lab cleanliness by washing dishes, countertops and floors

Other duties as assigned.

Skills / Qualifications:

High school diploma is required.

Strong verbal and writing skills are required

Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

Learn new tasks with ease

Experience in a laboratory setting and/or food production environment is preferred

Microbiology and/or QC experience is preferred

Position:

Full-time position

20-23 /per hour DOE

Day shift, Monday - Thursday 7am - 4:30pm, Friday 7am - 11am

Some overtime may be required
