Bookkeeping Specialist in Construction Operations
Automated Equipment Company is looking for assistance with our operations department. Most of your time will be accounting, invoicing customers, job costing, and updating our pricing program. Working directly with our Operations Manager to help manage customer invoicing & related accounting tasks.
WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW?
Must have a solid understanding of QuickBooks software.
Construction accounting experience preferred.
Experienced with all A/R & A/P duties & related bookkeeping tasks.
Bachelors in accounting, or related field, or experience with construction related bookkeeping.
Working understanding of Microsoft Office products, Word, Outlook, and especially Excel.
Must be organized, detail-oriented and reliable.
Willing to submit to a criminal background check.
Dependable attendance - 7:00AM to 3:30PM, Monday thru Friday.
WHAT WOULD I DO?
Invoice projects with a complete understanding of progressive billing, application of payment, SOV, retention, release, and waiver.
Manage and keep track of project original contract amount, change orders, credits, and all associated project costs.
Job cost all completed projects.
Enter updated costs into pricing program as needed.
OTHER POSSIBLE TASKS:
Manage and follow up past due accounts.
Manage & control inventory & related materials.
Provide general support to the accounting department & other departments as needed.
