Responsibilities:Lead and direct kitchen staff, including student workers, ensuring professional food and beverage preparation and maintaining a sanitary work environment.Prepare menu selections according to established production standards and specific recipes, ensuring compliance with food safety practices.Supervise student staff, assigning tasks, providing training, and ensuring work quality.Properly set up and use equipment for production, clean and sanitize equipment, and maintain inventory of supplies.Interpret and follow standardized recipes, adjust ingredient measurements as needed, and stage ingredients for production.Monitor customer counts and food consumption during service hours, ensuring availability of fresh products and proper portion sizes.Requirements:Ability to cook foods from scratch using various cooking techniques.Knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and production.Obtain WA State Food Handlers permit within 30 days of hire and SERVSAFE Certification within 6 months.Experience working with students and diverse backgrounds.Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.Physical ability to lift and carry supplies, stand for extended periods, and work in various kitchen environments.ApplyNow
