POSITION: Laboratory Analysts (Multiple Openings)

LOCATION OF EMPLOYMENT: 13741 Lake City Way NE, Seattle, WA 98125

DUTIES: Perform biological laboratory testing and analyses of food samples for human consumption for detection of microbial pathogens using various test methods such as polymerase chain reaction (PCR). Isolate, identify, and prepare specimens for examination; prepare media; record data and analyze findings. Monitor laboratory work to ensure compliance with set standards (ISO 17025). Prepare technical reports based on test results. Prepare for and participate in internal and external quality control audits and respond appropriately. Monitor laboratory equipment and supplies. Communicate with clients.

REQUIREMENTS: This position requires at least a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry or a closely related scientific field and at least one (1) year of experience as a Laboratory Analyst performing laboratory tests, analyzing food or agricultural samples for microbial pathogens, using Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) or similar detection method, and maintaining laboratory equipment.

RATE OF PAY: $42,661.00 - $57,000.00 per Year
