ABOUT THE ROLE:

As an Install Technician at Rainier Shade, you are at the heart of our mission to deliver extraordinary experiences. You will assist in the installation of a variety of products including fixed frame awnings, retractable awnings, interior and exterior screens (powered and manual), and other items produced or sold by Rainier Shade. You will work a flexible schedule with occasional overtime required. You will work with a Lead Installer as part of a crew, depending on the size of the job. You will assist in ensuring the job is completed on time and according to plan.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Precision Installation: Carry out the installation of high-end awnings, pergolas, canopies, and motorized screens at residential and business properties, ensuring each project is completed to the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.

Technical Expertise: Apply your knowledge and skills to troubleshoot, adjust, and resolve any technical issues during installation, delivering a seamless and functional product every time.

Customer Focus: Provide an exceptional customer service experience during each installation, ensuring clear communication, respect for property, and a thorough understanding of product use and maintenance.

Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations to ensure a safe work environment for yourself, your team, and our clients.

Quality Assurance: Conduct detailed final inspections of all installations, ensuring that every detail aligns with Rainier Shade's standards for luxury and quality.

Collaboration and Feedback: Work closely with the sales and design teams to provide feedback on project specifications and outcomes, contributing to continuous improvement and innovation in our product offerings and installation processes.

Product and Service Advocacy: Become an ambassador of Rainier Shade's products and services, educating clients on the features, benefits, and care of their new installations.

Inventory and Tool Management: Manage and maintain inventory, tools, and equipment, ensuring they are in excellent condition and ready for each project.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Proven experience in installation, construction, or a related field, with a preference for those skilled in high-end product installations.

Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills, capable of understanding and applying product specifications and installation requirements.

Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and team members.

Commitment to safety, with knowledge of standard safety practices and a willingness to wear personal protective equipment as required.

Detail-oriented, with a focus on delivering quality and precision in every project.

Knowledge in reading a tape measure

Skill in basic math

Knowledge in the use of basic hand and power tools

Ability to take direction and clearly communicate with coworkers

Ability to work a flexible schedule (long hours and flexible shifts)

Knowledge of and skill in the use of personal computer and related software

Skill in time management and ability to meet deadlines

Ability to work independently and take initiative

Ability to willingly accept responsibility

Ability to set priorities and use good judgment

Ability to work at heights

Other duties as assigned

Current Washington State Driver’s License; and proof of a safe driving record (which meets established Rainier Shade standards) obtained by a motor vehicle report from the appropriate state(s).

PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS:

Constant standing and walking

Frequent climbing of ladders

Frequent physical demands requiring mobile dexterity to include bending, stooping, pulling, climbing, and reaching

Frequent exposure to electrical hazard and high-powered tools and machinery

Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds

Occasional lifting of greater than 50 pounds

Constant exposure to weather conditions
