General Laboratory Worker (Seattle, WA)

IEH Laboratories, a leader in Food Safety, is now accepting applications for a General Laboratory Worker at its facility in Seattle, WA.

Ideal candidates will possess the following:

- A high school diploma or GED (required)

- Ability to read, understand and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

- Ability to use computers for basic daily tasks (printing labels, basic data input, etc.)

- Ability to work with pallets and pallet jacks (or to learn how)

- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

- Ability to follow general laboratory safety practices and aseptic technique in the laboratory

- Ability to regularly lift up to 30lbs above waist level

- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50lbs above waist level

- A valid driver's license and clean driving record

General Laboratory Worker duties include, but are not limited to: media/sample preparation, sample sorting and labeling, inventory control, washing glassware, general cleaning and sanitation, possible courier duties, possible general items assembly, and other duties as assigned.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00 hourly. This is a full-time position and is eligible for the following benefits after a brief waiting period: medical, dental, vision, life/AD&D insurance, long- and short-term disability insurance, 401(k), health and dependent care FSA plans, employee assistance program, 15 days of paid time off per year for sick leave and/or vacation, 3 days paid bereavement leave, and 6 paid holidays per year.

The laboratory operates weekends, so candidates must be willing to work occasional weekends.
