Salary: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour

Hours: Approximately 15-20 hours per week

Schedule: Weekday mornings and afternoons; weeknights and weekends occasionally

Tucked in the forest at the base of Mt. Si, Rainbow Lodge is a non-profit organization that fosters opportunities for guests to experience spiritual, personal, and professional growth in a tranquil and natural environment. We host groups ranging in size from 20 – 65 guests who come from all over the country longing for the radical hospitality and environment that Rainbow Lodge offers.

Each member of our small, close-knit team is passionate about hospitality, and seeks to serve our guests in ways that make them feel cared for, appreciated, and at home. This spirit of hospitality necessarily starts within our own staff culture – treating each other with kindness, care, and respect, and having fun together in the busy flow of the kitchen.

Responsibilities and Expectations:

- A desire to work within a small team toward a common goal – and to have fun doing it

- Experience dishwashing and/or in a customer service setting, such as a restaurant or café, is helpful, but not required

- Wash dishes in our commercial dishwasher, and put away clean dishes

- Taking out the compost, trash, and recycling occasionally

- Mopping kitchen floor occasionally

- Ability to lift and clean a few heavy pots, etc.

Compensation:

- The starting pay for this position is $16-$19 per hour depending on experience. Occasionally there are tips, which are split amongst staff based on number of hours worked.

- Dishwashers are welcome to eat and enjoy the meal of their shift, and are also welcome to take unused, leftover food home for themselves and their families.

Scheduling:

- This position is part-time, approximately 15-20 hours per week.

- We are seeking someone who is available for weekday breakfast and lunch shifts.

- Due to the nature of retreat center work, an ongoing, consistent schedule is not entirely possible. Shifts are scheduled two weeks in advance.

- We ask that all candidates either live local to North Bend, or have reliable transportation and are able to make the drive.

- If longer shifts would be preferred, it may be possible to schedule a Dishwasher for breakfast and lunch, and have them help with housekeeping, etc. in between the meals. This would make for a roughly 5-6 hour work shift in total.
