Design-Build Operations Assistant

Seeking a current or former student of architecture who is interested in gaining build experience, specifically in the field of interior finish carpentry and more specifically in the area of project cost estimation/bidding and project support. The ideal candidate is passionate about design and construction, has insatiable curiosity and a burning drive to make things beautiful. Additionally, the candidate is detail-oriented, creative and organized. The position will initially involve learning then assisting to estimate or bid the interior finish carpentry for primarily high-end residences. Once this skill is mastered, the position will evolve toward assisting to create a development + design-build studio whose focus will be to advance the principles of the International Living Futures Institute and the Living Building Challenge especially through art for public awareness.
