Automotive General Service Technician

Automotive General Service Technician: 6th Ave Midas in Tacoma is currently seeking a General Service Technician Level C that's able to work independently of others, while also being able to work collaboratively at times with peers. If you've just graduated from Automotive Tech School; or, if you are currently going to school for Automotive Technician, (which we'll work around your school schedule), or, new in the automotive repair business with up to 1 year experience; "We Want To Talk To You". As your knowledge of automotive repair increases; advancement to Level B Tech will be available.

Responsibilities:

As a General Service Technician, you’ll be exposed to and have responsibility for performing a wide range of automotive maintenance services, including:

Perform routine vehicle maintenance

Engine oil & oil filter changes

Transmission, differential, power steering & cooling system fluid exchanges

Courtesy & safety inspections

Mounting, balancing and rotating tires

Flat tire repairs

Replacing batteries

Changing bulbs, belts and hoses

Shop maintenance as needed

On Job Training such as Brakes, Suspension, Steering Linkage, Alignments, Etc.

Qualifications:

Must have knowledge of automotive basics

Knowledge of shop equipment

Deadline and detail-oriented

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Basic tools

Valid Drivers License Required
