DataStaff, Inc. is in need of an IT Trainer for a long-term contract opportunity with one of our direct clients in Richmond, VA.This position hybrid, 3+ days will be onsite Responsibilities:
- Assist employees with knowing what products are available to them and how best to use them in their daily tasks.
- Assist with information technology user training.
- Training will consist of Microsoft 365, Hardware, Data Analysis and Software basics as well as new technologies rolled out.
- There is a need for a point person in each region to guide employees and provide training that will make them more efficient in their job tasks.
- Determine skill gaps and training needs in consultation with district, regional, and staff.
- Communicate skill gaps and training needs to the Office of Information Management and within the regional training team to best develop learning strategies, content, and delivery that best fits the needs of the users
- Demonstrate servant leadership through collaborative strategic and tactical planning to achieve holistic goals.
- Create and curate training materials.
- Deliver trainings and offer follow-up support for ongoing learning
- Coach staff through troubleshooting computer hardware and software issues
- Advise staff regarding choosing applications and databases for their needs.
- Respond to IT Service Portal Tickets for training related requests
- Travel once a month to provide on-site training, if necessary
- Provide office hours for impromptu training requests.

- 4 Years - Bachelor’s degree in Education, Management Information Systems, Communications, Business or related field. Work experience in lieu of education can be accepted at hiring manager’s discretion.
- 3 Years - Knowledge of adult learning and instructional design
- 3 Years - Knowledge of adult learning and instructional design General working knowledge of MS 365 applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook,
- 3 Years - Experience leading building training materials such as videos, presentations or job aids
- 3 Years - Experience troubleshooting hardware and software – hands-on or from a help desk
- 4 Years - Related professional experience
- 3 Years - Experience advising and influencing internal stakeholders (leadership, technical trainers, etc.)
- 3 Years - Must be a self-starter and a team player with a positive attitude.
- 3 Years - Works collaboratively. Seeks out the experience of others with the aim for better results. Open minded regardless of where ideas originate.
- 2 Years - Microsoft Office Specialist Certification - Associate or Above
- 2 Years - Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) Certification - Associate or Above
- 2 Years - Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) - Associate or Above
- 2 Years - ED Tech Certification – Other Teaching Certifications that May be applicable.
- 2 Years - Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- 2 Years - Excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
