Diesel Mechanic - $35/hr

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Performs scheduled maintenance on heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment

Performs inspection, diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment.

Utilizes vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs.

Estimates time and material costs on vehicle repairs and requisitions new parts.

Diagnoses and repairs vehicles and equipment under limited supervision.

Ideally certified to perform State Inspections and CDL.

Welds equipment as needed.

Prepares shop work orders on equipment repair.

Cleans shop and surrounding work areas.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Promotes cooperation and teamwork.

Performs service calls for emergency breakdowns.

Conducts safety checks on vehicles.

Train and maintain certifications necessary as ongoing technician training and development.

Education and Experience

Education: Not required.

Experience: Two (2) years of relevant work experience.

ASE Certification (Preferred, not Required)

Compensation & Benefits:

$30.00 - $37.00/HR based on experience
