Critical Facilities Engineer Critical Facilities Engineer with either Electrical and/or Mechanical, HVAC maintenance experience is needed to monitor power (BAS, EMS – Environmental Monitoring Systems, BMS- Building Management Systems) and other critical facility systems in commercial/ facility buildings/data centers in order to provide support for dynamic Fortune 500 company. This is a contract to hire position with potential of converting to permanent full-time with the client. Training will be provided. This is a 50% “hands-on” operating- troubleshooting/repair position. The candidate will be responsible for initial diagnosing, troubleshooting and/or repairs depending on the issue. Candidates should have either maintenance, mechanical, HVAC, CRAC, electrical, critical facility system, or building operations background so they can recognize and diagnose any problems or issues. Once the problem is identified, they will troubleshoot/repair, or contact third party vendor accordingly and notify management. Requirements for the Critical Facilities Engineer:
- Experience with Maintenance, Mechanical (HVAC, Chillers, EVAP-Adiabatic Cooling, CRAC units, Cooling Towers, and/or “free air” fan exhaust systems) or Electrical systems (UPS, ATS, Switch gear, Transformers) within either Commercial Buildings, Manufacturing Facilities, Data Centers or other large facility buildings with critical facility systems.
- Should understand maintenance in either HVAC, CRAC, mechanical, electrical or power concepts
- Familiar with any BAS, BMS and/or EMS system
- Candidates should be familiar with basic computer skills such as Word and Excel
- Certifications are a plus
- Experience working in a Data Center environment is a plus
