RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client is seeking to hire a Manufacturing Test Engineer - Electro-Mechanical in Orem, Utah (UT).Summary:The client is a growing engineering technology company is seeking a Production Manufacturing Test Engineer. We are working directly with the Hiring Manager on this exclusive search assignment. This position will support the development, commercialization, and production of complex electro-mechanical products and systems.Responsibilities include: Involved in improving manufacturing processes, yield improvements, and higher throughput in manufacturing, with a goal of greatly reducing errors Manufacturing Production Engineer will develop product test plans and manufacturing process instructions Electro-Mechanical Assembly, wiring and electronics, PCBA assembly (putting those into assembly), and testing (manual and automated) Generate detailed documentation (Travelers, BOMs, Routings) in support of manufacturing assembly Ensure product quality through FMEA risk assessment and implementation of effective process controls including SPC Manufacturing Production Engineer will assist in failure investigations and root cause analysis as they relate to production processes, parameters, and fixturing Responsible for implementation of identified production and process improvements related to root cause investigations Troubleshoot machine failures at system and subsystem level, during prototype assembly, and as part of pilots build leading up to Design TransferREQUIREMENTS: Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Robotics, Manufacturing or similar engineering discipline 1-4+ years of experience as a Production and/or Manufacturing Engineer in a relevant electronic and/or electro-mechanical manufacturing environment Knowledge for cost of goods and manufacturing Able to manage projects from initiation to production launch Experience in industries such as electronic manufacturing, consumer electronics, aerospace, Medical Device, etc. Experience with Electro-Mechanical Assembly, wiring and electronics, PCBA assembly (putting those into assembly), and testing (both manual and automated) is preferred Experience and/or knowledge DFM including mistake-proofing, simplification, standardization, corrective action, and testing is preferred Production testing experience is preferred Experience writing test procedures is preferred Experience with electronic troubleshooting is preferred Knowledge or familiarity with CAD Software such as Solid works is a plus but not required Experience with tooling and designing test fixtures is a plus Experienced with data driven engineering methodologies such as PFMEA, FMEA, reliability testing, GRR, DOE, etc., are a plus Experience with conducting failure investigations and/or root cause analysis is a plusThe pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs.
