Flash Dog Training is seeking full time Dog Trainer to join our hard working team of committed canine professionals at our Colorado location in Arvada.
We are known for our E collar Board and Train program and comprehensive Puppy Imprinting programs and have clients sending their dogs from all over North America to us. Colorado is the smaller of our two locations so trainers will be responsible for some kennel duties and must either open or close a few days a week. Other shifts will be floating shifts where you can make your own hours for the day based on your lessons, drop-offs and go-homes.
General duties include but are not limited to: cleaning kennels, feeding dogs, grooming, nail clipping and Dremeling, tracking medications, supervising playgroups, training dogs, taking dogs on field trips, selling dog training packages over the phone to prospective clients, conducting all drop-off, half-way and go-home lessons, coaching the kennel technicians to improve their skills as dog training assistants, social media updates, working with owners of the company to ensure quality control of our dog care, services, facility and grounds.
Requirements:
-A minimum of 3 full years of a client-facing Dog Training roll (Kennel tech/daycare/vet assistant jobs do not count for this time frame)
-Balanced training fundamental practices, understanding of common prong collar & E collar conditioning systems
-Willingness and ability to adhere to Flash Dog Training's company policies, rules , standards and training systems
-Good communication with team members, with an approachable, personable, and kind attitude
-Formal dog training school graduates are highly preferred or diverse dog world backround
This position starts with 1 week sick time, 2 weeks PTO, full benefits including health, vision, dental, relocation assistance, and professional development assistance.
