Title: Video Product Engineer Location: Irving, TX Duration: 6 Months Contract to Hire Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the US. Job Description:
- This position is responsible for developing, testing, analyzing, and implementing Video related products and equipment.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience of image quality testing and tuning or image signal processing.
- Understanding or hands-on experience of ISP (Image Signal Processor) 3A, denoising, fusion, tone-mapping, white balance etc.
- Experience working with various image quality tools, software metrics and methodologies to improve camera tuning
- Understanding of various characteristics for optical lenses, image sensors (CCD/CMOS), ISP (Image Signal Processing) and encoding
- Experience working with video codec and compression such as H.264 AVC (Advanced Video Coding), H.265 HEVC (High Efficiency Video Coding) and MJPEG (Motion JPEG)
- Excellent understanding of wireless transmission mediums such Wi-Fi, LTE (Long Term Evolution), LAN networks
- Some understanding of machine learning and image processing technologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience in cross-functional collaboration

- Bachelor's degree with technical or engineering emphasis and a minimum of three or more years technical or related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Residential Video system installation/service, including networks, IoT (Internet of Things), video, home automation, and home security system experience would be an asset.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, detailed technical manuals and procedures, financial policies and pronouncements, and government regulations. Ability to author routine reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to clearly and effectively present information and respond to questions from groups within and outside the Company.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as voltage and power consumption values, variances, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Proficiency with computer hardware components and software packages, especially Microsoft Office products. Ability to interact with all levels of the organization. Must be flexible and possess excellent time management, project management, and organizational skills. Must be a self-motivated individual with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and confidentiality necessary.

- Specify, review and test Video products related to home and business security systems.
- Specify, review and test products: Interactive Services systems including those using Video wireless technologies
- Conduct complex technical analysis and studies of equipment characteristics, limitations, configuration, and performance to achieve operational objectives
- Provide direct, high-level technical support to the field-based technical managers and representatives of other departments to ensure that systems are configured, installed, and functioning according to operational specifications
- Develop and review Installation documentation for all technical personnel on new and existing equipment use and procedures
