We are looking for a user-experience (UX) designer able to understand our business requirements and any technical limitations, as well as be responsible for conceiving and conducting user research, interviews and surveys, and translating them into sitemaps, user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, mockups and prototypes. The UX designer will also be expected to design the overall functionality of the product, and in order to ensure a great user experience, iterate upon it in accordance with user-testing.The Candidate

- An effective communicator. You effectively explain concepts, written and verbally, to developers and non-technical peers. A whiteboard is the natural extension of your brain.
- Participate in daily Scrums, regular retrospectives and iteration plannings, and other as-needed face-to-face, audio- and/or video-teleconferencing sessions
- Translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences
- Facilitate the David Weekley Home's vision by researching, sketching, prototyping and user-testing experiences for digital products
- Design and deliver wireframes, user stories, user journeys, and mockups optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces
- Take a user-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate your designs, meeting assigned estimates for each feature
- Resolve design problems and devise elegant, practical, and effective solutions
- Make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core, and new, functions and features
- Provide guidance on user experience best practices and future direction
- Learn from and apply feedback regularly
- Clearly and effectively communicates design processes, ideas, and solutions to team members and stakeholders
- Take ownership of feature design, styling, interactions, and approach
- Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
- Develop and maintain a framework that fits with the David Weekley Homes development and research processes
- Research and showcase knowledge in the industry’s latest trends and technologies

- One or more years of UX design experience
- Expertise in standard UX software such as AdobeXD, Sketch, OmniGraffle, Axure, InVision, UXPin, Balsamiq, and/or Framer
