Salon Coordinator – Full and Part Time available

We need a smiling, energetic people pleaser to treat our clients like family and convert inquiries into booked appointments.

Required Skills and Traits

Customer service experience. Prior salon or beauty industry scheduling experience preferred, but hospitality and retail will also be considered.

Excellent communication skills (face to face, on the phone and via text/chat)

Ability to act as a welcoming host for salon clients

Ability to convert inquiries about hair salon services into booked appointments.

Ability to de-escalate situations with the occasional unhappy client. You will have backup.

You must be comfortable on your feet, walking around the salon. This is not a desk job.

Positive life outlook and not afraid to smile.

Ability to lift and carry 30 lbs (intake of product shipments)

Social media (Instagram) familiarity is a bonus but not required.

Day to day activities include:

Fielding inquiries, explaining salon services via phone, email, text and website live chat.

Scheduling appointments – converting inquiries into clients

Checking clients in and out using iPad and computer

Playing host to clients (greeting, getting sodas, water, coffee, etc.)

Pre-booking appointments for in-salon clients

Closing or opening the salon depending on your schedule.

Taking photos and videos of stylists at work for social media

Various light housekeeping duties when not busy with phones and clients, to include replenishing restroom supplies, product unpacking, product shelf dusting, etc

Available Work Hours

We are looking for two people to either split days (an opener and a closer), or two people to split the week (work 2-3 long days). The hours available for each person can be as few as 24 or as many as 40. It will depend on what the right candidates need. We open at 8:30 am daily. Closing time varies by day as listed below in salon hours.

Salon Hours

Tuesday & Thursday 2 pm -8 pm

Wednesday & Friday 2 pm -7 pm

Saturday 8:30 am – 6 pm

Compensation

$20/hour, medical/dental/vision insurance and salon services. Free secured garage parking.
