Position: Quality Assurance SpecialistContract Duration: 6-12 Months + Renewal OptionsWork Site: Austin, TX 78704 (Hybrid) Main Deliverables:
- Develop, test, document, follow use cases (testing scenarios), system setup, processes, system workflows, security role setup, transactions, and others.
- Develop testing procedure to assure that processes are compliant including access, workflow, reporting
- Identify, document, research and problem solve bugs/errors. Develop and communicate progress reports
- Identify any potential problems that end users might encounter, research, and solve the issues.
- Review processes and ensure issues are solved as appropriate
- Perform system audits to ensure system and process are working correctly
- Assist with workflow & process redesign as needed
- Learn and maintain knowledge of system, process, roles, and workflows to facilitate effective audits
- Coordinate team effort to fully test the system assigning roles and areas of focus
- Required knowledge of quality control principles as root cause analysis, corrective actions, non-conformance, standard processes
- Required experience in a quality audit position, ideally focused on enterprise system implementation (Finance, HR, Payroll orother) in a K12 educational, public, or highly compliance focused organization
- Required strong computer skills including Google Suite (Drive, Sheets, Slides, Docs, Forms), Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook); Flowchart maker and diagramming (Visio, Io.draw, Lucid Chart), Project management tools (SmartSheet) and Learning Management Systems.
- Required experience in analytics Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets including pivot tables, formulas, and others.
- Preferred experience implementing or using enterprise systems as Frontline ed, Tyler Munis, Workday, Lawson or other in Finance, HR, or Payroll functions.
- Preferred experience in position assignment (assignment of employees to roles)
- Ability to work independently and in teams with excellent problem solving, communications, presentation, and organization skills
- Ability to define, produce and maintain audit reports
- Friendly and professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills

- 3+ years of experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Control
- Preferred teaching experience in K12 organizations in independent school districts or charter management organizations or in a central office position.
- Preferred experience implementing enterprise systems including Finance, Human Resources, Payroll and StudentInformation Systems
- Preferred experience in Finance, Human Resources or Payroll processes using enterprise systems as Frontline Education, Tyler Munis, Taleo, Workday or other system preferably in a school district or k12 organization
- Preferred 3 years of Project Management experience. Familiar with Project management concepts, practices, and procedures. Progressive broad-based information systems, system integration and project delivery experience. Experience working with external vendors and/or Quality Assurance efforts is a plus.
- Preferred experience with business analysis, requirements gathering, process development, and implementation of Enterprise Resource Planning system (ERP) including Business, Finance, Payroll, Position Control, Employee Compensation, Recruiting, Hiring, Onboarding, Procurement, Maintenance, Employee Evaluation or Professional learning management functions.
- Preferred certification in Lean Six Sigma, process/system improvement, Experience developing current and future processes, developing key performance indicators
- Preferred experience in a highly regulated industry/function as healthcare or other.
- Ability to problem solve, multi-task and organization skills
- Ability to commit to this project for 6-12 months.
- Strong ability to keep staff teams focused on goal attainment within conflicting time parameters.
- Ability to work in the dynamic school district environment, with an understanding of the nuances and challenges within an urban setting.
- Ability to engage with stakeholders (internal and external) in both in-person and virtual environments.
- Ability to motivate the team to communicate, collaborate, and respond while under extreme pressure and strict timelines.
- Experience working in a hybrid environment (partially in person and remotely) and supporting hybrid teams.
- When required and authorized by the District, the Contractor will perform services on-site at the designated campus and/or department for assistance or training. Frequency and duration of travel will be jointly determined. The District will reimburse for travel using District guidelines or funding entity guidelines, whichever is less. Any special circumstances or exceptions must be approved prior to travel by the District’s Chief Financial Officer.
