job summary:Our client in the Austin, Texas area is looking for an experienced Physical Design Engineer to join their team as soon as possible. This candidate will be responsible for developing innovative scripts, checkers, flows, and CAD-based automation techniques to simplify the design process and enhance physical design methodologies. Your role will involve analyzing and interpreting implementation results to identify issues. You will provide support and training to internal and external partners and demonstrate a capacity to learn various industry-standard modeling formats. Collaborating with diverse teams, you will conduct root-cause analysis and devise creative solutions for challenges in the field. location: AUSTIN, Texasjob type: Permanentsalary: $185,000 - 220,000 per yearwork hours: 8am to 5pmeducation: Bachelors responsibilities:In this position, you will be responsible for developing innovative scripts, checkers, flows, and CAD-based automation techniques to simplify the design process and enhance physical design methodologies. Your role will involve analyzing and interpreting implementation results to identify issues with physical IP, process technology, or EDA tools. You will provide support and training to internal and external partners and demonstrate a capacity to learn various industry-standard modeling formats such as Liberty, Verilog, LEF, UPF, NDM, SPICE, and CDL. Collaborating with diverse teams, you will conduct root-cause analysis and devise creative solutions for challenges in the field. qualifications:

  • Experience level: Experienced
  • Minimum 6 years of experience
  • Education: Bachelors (required)

  • BSEE Design (6 years of experience is required)
  • MSEE Design (4 years of experience is required)
  • TCL Scripting (3 years of experience is preferred)
  • Design (6 years of experience is required)
