Drayage Dispatcher Wanted

We are looking for a reliable and dependable full-time Drayage Dispatchers. This individual must be reliable and confident in their ability to dispatch drivers and schedule containers. We are looking for an individual that is self-motivated and looking to grow with our team.

Qualification: The ideal candidate should be able to work close to the owner have strong organizational skills, work independently, possess great communication skills, take initiative, and have attention to detail.

Requirements:

2+ years in port trucking

Ability to schedule and trace containers

Dispatch and monitor drivers

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Uses good judgment in making decisions in emergency and routine situations

Excellent organization and multi-tasking skills

Ability to effectively interpret contract rules and requirements

Demonstrated excellent written and oral communications and organizational skills

Proficient in Spanish (not required, but huge plus)

Duties: You will perform various tasks, including and not limited to:

Securing appointments with the terminals for empty terminations and or import loads out when requested or missed loads

Scheduling deliveries with customers

Assisting drivers with any issues

Emailing customers

Monitoring containers at the ports

Scheduling drivers to make freight deliveries/terminal

Communicating with customers about freight details, delivery or pickup times, and special handling requests

Planning pre-determined routes and accommodating route changes as needed

Maintaining records of dispatched calls, driver routes, route changes, as well as delivery and pickup times
