Certified Pharmacy Technician / Trainee

An independent community retail pharmacy is looking to hire a certified pharmacy technician or technician trainee registered with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy for a full time or part-time position up to 30 hours per week.

The certified pharmacy technician or technician trainee should:

1) Have experience and knowledge of the duties and tasks expected of a pharmacy technician in a retail pharmacy setting

2) Be open to instruction from the pharmacist and pharmacy manager

3) Be a team player

4) Be proactive and take the initiative in completing the daily tasks of the pharmacy once expectations are set and training is provided and completed

5) Be punctual to work and have great attendance

6) Have knowledge and experience with basic computer applications including Microsoft Word and Excel.

Experience with BestRx pharmacy management system is a plus.

7) Provide great customer and patient service

8) Have excellent integrity and character

9) Have great documentation skills

10) Have great typing skills

11) Have experience processing and handling pharmacy insurance claims

12) Be able to multitask.
