- Manage availability, latency, scalability, and efficiency of the supported applications.
- Monitor batch jobs, application logs and monitoring tools to proactively prevent application failures
- Perform root cause analysis of production errors and resolve technical issues.
- Identify areas where manual processes may need to be automated and improve existing automation. Create and develop automation scripts in a programming language such as Python, PowerShell, or similar.
- Create documentation to be included in knowledge base of issues and resolutions
- Effectively collaborate with other engineers, developers and architects to implement new tools and software.
- Work with internal TCB project teams to ensure new applications are being designed to meet operational needs and to validate production readiness.
- Perform software upgrades and other Technology Lifecycle Management activities
- Participate in an on-call rotation providing 24x7x365 coverage.
- Scripting and automation, Monitoring, Windows Server, IIS / Tomcat, Active Directory, SAML / SSO, SSL Certificates, API, SQL
- 2 to 4 years of experience coding in PowerShell or Python required. Aptitude to automate manual processes and validations with scripting languages
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience supporting applications and systems.
- Experience with File Transfer Protocols (FTP, FTPS, SFTP) strongly preferred.
- Experience with API, C#, .NET, and SQL preferred.
- Experience with troubleshooting route and connectivity issue preferred
- Experience working in Incident, Change Management and Problem Resolution
- Ability to find new and innovative solutions to help you troubleshoot and resolve complex operational issues.
- Must have excellent customer service, telephone, listening and communication skills
- Strong problem solving, pattern recognition and, critical thinking skills necessary
- Must be able to process multiple sources of input and troubleshoot at all layers of the OSI model to determine root cause
- Be able to track and document information regarding troubleshooting techniques
- Experience in banking industry is a plus
