Qualifications:
- Associate degree in computer science, IT, or other job-related work experience plus 2 years of experience
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to identify and follow proper documented procedures and scripts used for troubleshooting problems
- Ability to provide Tier II support to IT users for basic software and hardware of end-user computing and desktop-based LAN systems
- Familiarity with computer and workstation equipment
- Must we able to work in a fast-paced, multi-platformed environment, which may require action and response 24x7 to support the technical business needs of the customer
- Ability to transport items up to 30 pounds and occasionally items up to 70 pounds
- A+ certified
- Installs and configures workstation software and hardware for IT users
- Learns to identify proper documented procedures and scripts used for troubleshooting end-user problems
- Follows established policies and procedures and assists in rollout and installation of workstation software and hardware
- Performs software updates and handles moves, computer setup, and peripherals from site to site
- Maintains workstation hardware and software
- Replaces hardware that has become faulty and corrects software issues
- May order replacement parts and tracks statinventory of items
- Ensures tools and equipment are licensed and approved by purchasing
- Completes data backups and restorations for users
- Assists customers/users and answers questions regarding their equipment
- May perform software testing and evaluation of new software and hardware prior to production
