Systems Engineer

Description Robert Half is looking for a Systems Engineer to join a team at our local client in the IT Consulting industry. Our Systems Engineer hire should be a key contributor to the maintenance and optimization of the client's network and wireless infrastructure. Submit an application today! This long-term contract / temporary to hire employment opportunity is based in the Easley, South Carolina area.Your responsibilities- Indite and assert custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks- Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools- Vigorously deliver the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability- Offer 2nd and 3rd level support- Band together with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution- Direct and supervise all installed systems and infrastructure- Manage redundancy strategies, security, and backup- Watch and trial application performance for potential bottlenecks, recognize possible solutions, and function with developers to carry out those fixes- Partake in the design of information and operational support systems Requirements - Solid experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks- This position requires a candidate with experience with monitoring systems- Solid networking knowledge- Candidates who have solid scripting skills will be the best fit for this position- Solid understanding of Microsoft SCCM - System Cntr Config Mgr- Data Center Infrastructure experience preferred- Imaging Devices experience- Cisco CCNA experience preferred- Proficiency in PowerShell- Candidates with proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting various operating systems will be the best fit for this position- If you have experience with automation software, you will be strongly preferred for this position- Experience with virtualization and containerization is required for success at this position Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
