Position Summary: The Data Architect will visualize and design the enterprise data management framework that aligns with the enterprise strategy and business architecture. This role will harmonize, standardize, and streamline enterprise data architecture with clear focus on data governance, data migration, data transformation and data enrichment. Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science Management Information Systems, Data Governance, Data Management, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field required
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and multi-tasking skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express complex business concepts in non-technical terms
• Strong experience in defining Data Strategy and Data Architecture roadmap
• Strong experience in Enterprise Data Architecture, data platforms, data strategy consulting, or equivalent data management experience
• Strong Experience with SAP architecture, data structure and deployment; including but not limited to the MDG
• Experience developing data management systems including logical and physical data modeling, relational and data warehouse database design, and design and development of system-wide metadata
• Experience working with structured, unstructured and/or semi-structured data and conducting analysis
• Experience with both relational and distributed database design and management in cloud-based environments
• Experience with designing logical and physical data models
• Experience with cloud-based platforms like Azure Data Stack (Azure SQL, Data Factory, Analysis Services, Databricks, Azure DevOps, Azure EventHubs etc)
• Key Skills: communication, enterprise data architecture, modeling solutions, data platforms, data strategy, data management, database design and administration, cloud computing, business acumen
• Customer focused and Solutions Oriented mindset
• Experience in architecting a Data Mesh is preferred
• Experience in defining or building Event-Driven microservices architecture
• Master's degree preferred
• Solid understanding of and demonstrated ability to apply Agile methodologies
• Retail Experience is a plus
• Solution Architect or equivalent certification is preferred
• Experience with Data Streaming technologies like Kafka is preferred
• Experience with NoSQL databases is preferred
• Experience with Machine learning frameworks is preferred

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

• Translate business requirements into technology requirements including data streams, integrations, transformations, databases, and data warehouses.
• Define data architecture framework, standards, principles, including modeling, metadata, security, reference data, and master data.
• Visualize and design the organization's enterprise data management framework.
• Ensure data lineage is consistent across applications and data sources while also developing and communicating strategies and common approaches for data acquisition, data access, and data archiving.
• Create standards for how data will be stored, consumed, integrated, and managed by different data entities and technology systems.
• Select frameworks, develops, and communicates common approaches, and develops roadmaps.
• Develop and implement models of data that enable the implementation of intended business architecture, creates diagrams showing key data entities, and creates an inventory of the data needed to implement the architecture vision.
• Ensure data design is consistent with the architecture and that data flow is consistent, traceable, and meets project requirements.
