Courier, Delivery Driver, Sample Collection Technician for Laboratory

New England Testing Laboratory is looking for a full-time Courier/Delivery Driver/Sample Collection Technician. Candidates must have a current driver’s license, a clean driving record, be able to lift 50 pounds, and be able to use a GPS navigation unit or Smartphone Driving Directions app. The work schedule is Mon – Fri, 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, 40 to 45 hours per week. We are looking for neat, dependable, individuals to drive our company vehicles and pickup coolers from various locations in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. You may also be required to collect samples from home-owners and outdoor sites such as ponds and streams. On a normal day, you will meet with 8 to 10 different clients at various locations, pickup coolers, sign paperwork and return to the laboratory. Using your cellular phone or the companies cellular phone you will be required to send a picture of the paperwork completed at each stop. Back at the laboratory you will be required to unpack your coolers and label the sample bottles you collected that day.

Some individuals who have the desire to learn more about our laboratory testing procedures can additionally train and perform microbiology and wet chemical testing methodology here at the Laboratory a few hours a week to begin which may ultimately lead to a full-time position in the lab as a technician if so desired.
