Director of Operations

The GM will be responsible for day-to-day operations, including but not limited to daily golf operations and restaurant as well as promoting the long-term growth and stability of the organization. Specifically, the GM will direct and oversee each operating department by monitoring the quality of staff, services and amenities. The GM will maintain sound fiscal policy, disciplined budgeting, effective staff management and solid operating practices. He/she will provide meaningful input and perspective regarding critical issues, the competitive environment, trends and evolving organizational needs.

Qualifications

Must possess the ability to set and accomplish goals through clear team direction and coaching and persuade others to work towards those goals.

Be a great communicator in a style that is sincere, articulate and approachable.

Will develop and empower staff. Will inspire them to perform to the full scope of their positions. Will do so with enthusiasm and an eye toward continuous improvement.

Will create and maintain a desirable work environment in which management and staff are well-qualified, trained and motivated to provide the highest quality service.

Will display a sense of urgency, initiative, and drive to get things done correctly and in a timely manner.

Maintain a working environment that promotes exceptional service delivery and fosters supportive relationships among employees.

Be a team-builder, develop professional staff and create a succession action plan for critical roles.

Mentor, train, coach and develop key staff to perform at the highest level possible, while also providing an enjoyable work atmosphere.

Operations

Staff and maintain appropriate systems to facilitate the day-to-day administration of the organization as an efficient golf facility.

Develop and implement new programs, initiatives, and marketing/sales programs to increase revenue.

Experience

Possess a minimum of three years as a General Manager and/or Assistant General Manager.

Able to attract, build, train, mentor and lead a talented and cohesive staff.

Impeccable and verifiable references. All candidates will be subject to a thorough background review and testing.

Job Type: Full-time + golf & restaurant privileges.
