Wiring Harness Builder and Repair technician

Job Description

We're an e-commerce company in inner SE Portland in need of someone to repair automotive wiring harnesses for vintage vehicles (1960s-70s technology), as well as modern electric / hybrid / autonomous vehicle wiring and almost anything with wiring.

Knowledge with especially automotive wiring is an extreme asset

Applicants will hopefully know how to make electrical connections, and have the ability to make a lot of them in a timely manner.

Entry Level with a High attention to detail! The perfect person may not have experience with wiring but has is very detail oriented.

Duties:

Repair automotive Wiring Harnesses in a safe and efficient manner.

Read and understand electrical wiring diagrams/schematics.

Understand and follow verbal instructions.

Compare work to samples provided to ensure consistent production.

Crimp, screw, bolt, rivet etc. to attach components together using hand tools, power tools, machines etc.

Perform in-production testing and inspection using magnifying devices, measuring instruments and electronic test equipment to ensure that parts and assemblies meet production specs and standards.

Other related duties may be assigned.

Soldering skills are a plus.

Must be able to:

Collaborate in a team environment but also solve problems on your own.

Show up to work consistently on time Monday thru Friday 8:30AM to 5:00PM.

Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in work product.

Follow company policies and procedures.

Communicate well orally and in writing.

Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.

Use time efficiently.

Use a standard computer and phone system.

This position will be Full-time 35 to 40 hours per week Monday thru Friday 8:30AM to 5:00PM.

Compensation: $18.00 to $20.00 per hour depending on proficiency. Paid medical and PTO.
