Test Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce is immediately adding a full-time Test Engineer in support of our nationally recognized, Consumer and Commercial Electronic R&D client in Corvallis, OR.Primary Job Responsibilities: Test Engineer will work directly with our PWP Operations staff to build and configure Compute and Vision Severs Build, cable, configure and validate DFE & IPC Server Builds Troubleshoot problems that may arise; Network, hardware, etc. Monitor the progress of all the builds in the Factory Compute Build Area (FCBA); Ensure that time is being spent wisely (when to get Engineering help) Keep records of builds; Checklists, Start-Here-Guide, Pictures, etc. Ensure that the build standards are continually met Keep track of newest PCR releases and make sure we are building to them As a Test Engineer, you will update all the -Build Books- when we roll to a new PCR; This responsibility will rotate between the Factory Compute Build Technicians, for the purpose of cross training and familiarity with the location of files Build OSDeploy and Windows Image install USB sticks when we roll to a new PCR; New -Scripted- install USB sticks may be made by fellow Technician Build and update any other USB sticks we use with current files when we roll to a new PCR Track consumables used in the Factory Compute Build Area (FCBA) to ensure we do not run out Create POs for consumables used in the Factory Compute Build Area (FCBA) Update build checklists to comply with changes when we roll to a new PCRCreate new checklists for new processes: Gen10 Hardware PCR5.0 BlueCrest High Speed IPDS High Speed Work with Engineering to identify areas that can be automated or done an easier quicker way Set an example of excellence through effective leadership, quality, integrity, and quantitative process improvementsREQUIREMENTS: AA/AS degree in Business or Technical area or equivalent combination of education and related experience Ability to apply analytical/mathematical skills and understanding of the fundamentals involved in the assigned field (e.g., chemistry, physics, materials science, electronics, optics etc.) Electrical Mechanical experience MS Office Access, Word, and Excel Ability to trouble shoot and debug both software and mechanical related issues on test tools Ability to interact & communicate effectively (verbal, written, 1:1, and group presentations) Ability to work in a fast paced, Production environment with continuous changes Ability to read electrical schematics Lock Out Tag OutHighly Desired Skills: Experience with test bed control languages, test tools, scripting applications, and firmware (Python, Java, C, Kahuna, Condor TTZ builder, Printer Driver, Linux, Data Plug, SQL, Black Stone, Black Knight, Talon Play, Mechware commands, TCL)The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs.
