Temp. GIS Tech & Data Reporting Specialist

This position will provide mapping, reporting, and facility asset management of electric and internet infrastructure using the co-op’s GIS and work management systems. This position is authorized for 1,000 hours in this calendar year and may be converted to a permanent role.

Under the guidance of the Engineering & Technology Manager and following HR Co-op GIS standards for mapping, the GIS Technician will:

- Assist in the maintenance and operation of the GIS and work order systems.

- Assist in performing edits and queries using NISC’s Mapping and GIS tools.

- Assist in creating, modifying, and updating the electric and fiber GIS network model.

- Assist in validating data manipulation, integrity and accuracy of databases and tables.

- Assist in data analysis and reporting by obtaining, manipulating, and organizing data.

- Assist in routine GIS mapping and data maintenance projects and tasks.

- Assist in the research and documentation of HR Co-op’s GIS and workflow procedures.

- Assist with field data collection as well as post processing and/or data input into GIS.

- Assist in the creation of maps and map products in response to map requests.

- Performs tasks as assigned to help meet co-op mapping and reporting goals.
