- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- 8 to 10+ years of Transportation Design experience
- Proficient in MicroStation and Inroads and/or AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Professional Engineering License (P.E.) in Oregon or ability to gain reciprocity
- Work on a variety of projects with clients in the public sector
- Lead the development of transportation infrastructure projects including design for city streets, bike and pedestrian facilities, and trails
- Provide design leadership and guidance to staff, mentor, train, and contribute to the development of staff
- Coordinate and communicate directly with stakeholders, public agencies, and franchise and public utility companies
- Participate in business development including pursuing projects and writing proposals
- Committed to technical excellence and meeting client needs
- Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects and priorities
- Effective written and verbal communication
- Experience managing small to medium size contracts and task orders
- Experience and relationships with transportation agencies in the Portland area, including PBOT, ODOT, and TriMet
