$28.06- $39.29/ hour ($58,368- $81,715 annual), Pay dependent on qualifications and in accordance with Oregon's Pay Equity Act.

Position Overview:

The City of Springfield is looking for a Senior Service Desk Specialist to perform advanced service desk and mobile device support including conference/meeting room technology, wi-fi networks, and AV equipment within City Facilities. This position is responsible for managing complaints and escalations from lower-level positions relating to complex products or services, handling problem tickets, and providing feedback to upper management regarding issues.

Training & Experience:

The City will consider any equivalent combination of knowledge, skills, education, and experience to meet minimum qualifications. Such a way to meet minimum qualifications could include:

Associate degree or two-year technical certification in IT, or a closely related field, and;

5 or more years of experience performing IT/ technology support services.

Licenses & Certifications:

CompTIA A+ (or equivalent) or the ability to obtain within 1 year of hire

CompTIA Network+ (or equivalent) or the ability to obtain within 1 year of hire

The Senior Service Desk Specialist position will have access in the Springfield Justice Center and must obtain CJIS certification and clearance. Please not that in order to acquire CJIS certification, the individual cannot have any felony convictions, and any other criminal records is at the discretion of the certifying agency. CJIS requires finger printing as well.

Selection and Interview Process:
