Maintenance Technician at Gateway Terrace ($25/hr + benefits!) - 2478

Guardian has an immediate need for a Full-Time Maintenance Technician to join our experienced and committed team at Gateway Terrace Apartments!

For this position, we are seeking a self-starter who enjoys working with others and excels in a fast-paced, flexible, and hands-on environment. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, professional and willing to learn new skills. Must have a minimum of one year of experience in property maintenance, building engineering or a related field. This position will carry the property maintenance phone and share the on-call responsibility with the Community Manager for occasional after hours emergencies.

Schedule: 40 hours / week, Monday - Friday. 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

Compensation: $25/hr + $250 bonus after 90 days of successful employment + Benefits!

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

The requirements listed below are representative, but not exclusive of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required:

High school diploma or GED.

At least one (1) year of work experience in property maintenance or a related field.

Possess basic knowledge of building trades such as plumbing, electrical and appliance repair.

Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

Comfortable on ladders at heights of 15 feet.

Ability to walk property grounds and climb stairs on a daily basis.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to speak, read and write in English.

Ability to communicate effectively and in a timely manner; both verbally and in writing.

Ability to complete online and in person company training requirements for this position within pre-determined deadlines and attend other training sessions as required.

Possess basic computer-literacy and willingness to complete regular tasks using standard computer or web-based technology.
