Skyline Sheet Metal Inc. located in Troutdale, Oregon is offering career opportunities to qualified apprentices who are interested in pursuing a career in architectural sheet metal or commercial construction. Skyline Sheet Metal is a training agent for and offers paid apprentice education with ABCPNW in Portland, Oregon, competitive wages, and compensation package to qualified individuals.

ABCPNW Sheet Metal Apprentice Program Minimum Qualifications:

Proof of Age (ID or Driver’s License)

High School Completion or GED Equivalent

Math: One year of high school Algebra, Integrated Math 2, or equivalent post-high school Algebra course(s) with a grade of C or better, or equivalent math placement test scores (If your transcripts do not satisfy the math requirement, you may take a math placement test at any local community college. A placement of Math 65 or higher is required to meet the Algebra requirement)

Attend required classes, complete assignments and hourly work requirements

Qualified Apprentice candidates at the entry level position must have an energetic desire to learn and be able to demonstrate a strong work ethic. Candidates must also:

Have reliable transportation and be punctual

Properly read a tape measure, operate hand and power tools and equipment safely

Follow instructions and work with a team

Work confidently and safely at heights over ten feet

Ability to work on out-of-town projects on occasion is a plus

Compensation and Benefits:

Apprentice Level 1 base rate beginning at $19.25/hr with increases based on academics and/or performance

Skyline Sheet Metal has a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
