A bit about us:Our client in the retail industry is looking for a Sr. Mobile Application Developer to join our Application Development team. As a member of the Application Development team you will be responsible for accelerating software development and testing for new and existing products. We are looking for an individual with expertise designing and deploying customer facing mobile applications for deployment through the Android app store. The ideal individual for this position will be a subject matter expert with proven track record delivering commercial quality mobile products.

Job DetailsMAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop mobile Android applicationsGuide technical design and development best practices for delivery of consumer mobile products Integrate mobile applications with back-end RESTful servicesUnderstanding of importance of maintainable / sustainable product solutionsIdentify, troubleshoot and resolve issues and defects through collaboration and monitoring application performanceWork closely with Product Managers and Business Analysts in defining and analyzing requirements and outline proposed technology solutionsParticipate and provide subject matter expertise in mobile product design working closely with creative and business teams to deliver best-in-class customer experienceCollaborate with analysts, designers, and system owners on new features and applicationsAccountable for uptime and high-availability for products supportedDeliver solutions in an Agile - Scrum project methodologyLearning new technologies when requiredEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Education:Bachelor's Degree or 4 years equivalent experienceExperience:5+ years of mobile application development for native Android appsExperience with mobile payments is a plusSKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Skills:Strong proficiency in mobile developmentStrong proficiency in KotlinStrong proficiency in JavaProficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as GitProduct mindset with strong customer focusAbility to operate effectively within a team using Agile methodologyAble to recommend and enforce industry best practices and patternsAble to mentor and work with other developersMust be well organizedTeam orientedInterested in hearing more?
