Test Engineer for Global Automotive Company in Raymond, OH
Summary: Join an innovative team and highly selective group of engineers with a global automotive company in Raymond, Ohio as a Test Engineer. Bring your years of experience as a Test Engineer in the automotive, aerospace and/ or drivetrain industry to manage communication networks, develop and testing of Gateway ECU for CAN and Ethernet communication networks of modern automobiles. Candidate is expected to work with a team as well as individual-bases to reach project goals. A valid Ohio Drivers License is required. Responsibilities:- Develop and Test Gateway ECU for CAN and ethernet communication networks of modern automobiles.
- Includes management of communication networks such as CAN, CANFD, and Ethernet.
- Define the communication network architecture and validate the network bandwidth.
- Includes Gateway ECU development.
- Development of functionality related to Over-The-Air (OTA) Software Updates and Cybersecurity protection mechanisms.
- Work on flashing software to automotive ECU's using Over the Air and Wired Reprogramming.
- May work on developing analytical procedures to improve processes for ongoing projects.
- Work with suppliers to assure parts/services are requested appropriately.
- Evaluate technical proposals and write technical reports.
- Make technical decisions with moderate supervision.
- Report research and test results in various technical formats including necessary key stakeholders.
- Minimum of 2+ years of test engineering experience.
- Experience with CAN, CANFD, Ethernet.
- Familiarity with flashing software to automotive ECU's using Over the Air and Wired Reprogramming.
- BS or MS in engineering.
- Proficiency in technical writing and possess computer skills for scientific and technical applications.
- Previous experience developing analytical procedures.
- Work with suppliers to assure parts/services are requested appropriately, evaluate technical proposals, and write technical reports.
