job summary:

Role Overview
  • Enterprise Risk & Finance Technology's Global Risk Analytics team is searching for a talented, seasoned and highly motivated Release Manager.
  • Programs focus on building the next generation model development and execution platform including data sourcing.
  • This platform will leverage a host of interesting technologies including Spark and Hadoop and utilize a unique, user-configurable, workflow-driven, model execution approach. Programs include data sourcing as well migration of models away from existing platforms to the target platform.
  • This is a multiyear effort in a business critical domain. Global Risk Analytics (GRA) is responsible for developing analytics to support risk modeling activities across all lines of business at the client. Uses include CCAR, CECL, IFRS 9 and other regulatory and management reports.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Manage activities for building and maintaining software releases for their promotion into preproduction and production environments adhering to client's Enterprise Change Management Standards.
  • Coordinate with large multi-discipline teams in a matrix management organization to ensure execution of the system development life cycle (SDLC/ Scrum) have been followed to allow release into production.
  • Improve communication and transparency within each release, providing a single-point-of-contact for various release stakeholders across the business and technology
  • Assist in creating and managing an integrated release plan with acceptance and sign off from all impacted areas for each release by coordinating with development , project management, production support , and deployment management teams.
  • Create and maintain a Release Calendar and cadence of activities for Project Teams to use in planning their development and testing activities.
  • Manage release scope through defined criteria for adding or removing items (changes) to or from a release
  • Proactively provide release health status, by identifying risks and obstacles that may impact release delivery; escalate and discuss with appropriate team members, define remediation activities and drive resolution
  • Provide enhanced compliance and regulatory evidentiary controls throughout the SDLC; complete documentation to meet audit requirements

Required Skills and Experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills
  • Interpersonal skills, including acting through influence, negotiation and mediation across organizational boundaries
  • Experience with project and scope tracking tools, especially Atlassian JIRA
  • Microsoft Office skills, especially MS Excel
  • Experience with project and scope tracking tools, especially Atlassian JIRA
  • Having experience in Unix scripting
  • Experience with automated configuration management and code management systems like BitBucket/GITHUB/XLR

Desired Skills and Experience we are Looking For:
  • Prior Application governance experience will be an added advantage.
  • Prior experience on BMC Remedy tool.
  • High level understanding of Financial Enterprise Change Standards is a plus
  • Having prior Application governance experience will be an added advantage.
  • Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment
  • Knowledge of testing, testing automation, and defect tracking tools/ methodologies
