Dump Truck Driver

Job brief

We are looking for an experienced truck driver to serve our supply chain logistics

department in a safe and timely manner.

Responsibilities

 Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative

maintenance

 Transport material such as aggregates, asphalt, sand, soil, stone, concrete etc. to and

from jobsites

 Plan routes using maps or satellite tracking and meet delivery schedules

 Monitor road conditions and watch for traffic congestion.

 Follow all applicable traffic laws.

 Document and log work/rest periods and kilometers spent driving and retain fuel/toll

receipts

 Maintain log of trips. Record amount and type of cargo being delivered.

 Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations,

parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures

 Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions

 Collect and verify delivery instructions, take orders for new deliveries.

 Inspect their truck before and after the trip, and record any defects they find.

 Report defects, accidents or violations

 Follow accident procedures if an accident occurs.

 Report to a dispatcher any incidents encountered on the road.

 Report serious mechanical problems to the appropriate personnel.

 Fill up on fuel, clean truck, and wash windows.

Requirements

 Class A or B CDL

 Must have a Clean Driving Record/MVR and Valid D.O.T. Medical Card.

 Must pass a Drug Test?

 Proven work experience as a dump truck driver.

 Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc.)

 Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations

 No recent moving or driving violations

 Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions,

etc.)

 Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment

recommendations (references)

 Monday to Friday

 Nights and Weekends

 Day and Night Shifts Available

Salary:

 19.00-25.00 DOE (depending on experience and shift)
