Apply now!Job SummaryThe Systems Administrator III is responsible for providing technical leadership for complex, enterprise-wide services including the design, development and maintenance. In addition, the Systems Administrator III leads complex projects that often include individuals from different departments. The Systems Administrator III collaborates closely with other technical and IT leadership positions providing high-level guidance, mentoring and training including helping to develop other technical employees.Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field and four (4) years relevant professional work experience including, but not limited to development/design and maintenance of enterprise-wide systems and services. • Hands-on experience configuring and administering a variety of enterprise Storage Systems• Experience with UNIX based operating systems• Experience with Windows Server based operating systems• Experience with internetworking Enterprise servers and services• Experienced with writing PowerCLI scripts in a VMWare environmentRelevant combinations of education, training and experience may be considered.Preferred Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT or another information systems related field with experience supporting Higher Education environment Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities• In-depth knowledge of UNIX based operating systems• In-depth knowledge of Windows Server based operating systems• In-depth knowledge of internetworking Enterprise servers and services• In-depth experience designing and administering VMWare technologies in a clustered environment• Working knowledge of PowerCLI scripts in a VMWare environment• Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Windows Powershell• Demonstrated knowledge of Unix Shell scripting• Ability to provide training to all levels.• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet goals and deadlines.• Ability to learn quickly and troubleshoot complex problems.• Ability to diagnose hardware and software problems.• Ability to communicate and cooperate effectively with colleagues and users in a diverse environment.• Ability to work both independently and as a team member.ShiftBusiness Hours with weekends or evenings occasionally requiredApplication instructions Follow the on-screen prompts to create an application.
