Job Description Summary:-Sr. Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for overseeing Quality Assurance staff and maintaining Food Safety and Quality Assurance Management Systems to support manufacturing of wholesome and quality food. Sr. QA Manager serves as primary contact for any regulatory agency and third-party audits. Sr. QA Manager develops, maintains and oversees implementation of policies and procedures in accordance with food safety regulations.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:-

- Manages a team of two quality technicians and serves as a backup as needed.
- Serves as the Lead SQF Practitioner and any other 3rd party audits (Plant Manager serves as a backup in the absence of the Sr. QA Manager).
- Serves as a primary contact for all regulatory inspections.
- Serves a backup for the Plant Manager.
- Implement corrective actions and preventative measures related to food safety and food non-conformities.
- Develops and maintains policies and procedures and monitoring forms in accordance with food safety regulations.
- Conducts documentation and records daily verification.
- Conducts annual HACCP reassessments and plan verification.
- Develops and maintains SSOPs.
- Oversees cleaning and housekeeping activities.
- Investigates food safety and quality related incidents discovered through customer complaints and reported by production or QA staff.
- Oversees and manages Integrated Pest Control Program.
- Oversees and manages Microbiological Testing Program.
- Oversees and manages Foreign Material Control Program.
- Oversees and manages Audit and Inspection Program.
- Oversees and manages Approved Suppliers.
- Oversees and Manages product Specification Program.
- Develops, manages and maintains company's food safety and quality training.
- Supports new product launches, serves as primary contact for product development and assessing any risk of new ingredients.
- Assists in R&D as external resources are used.
- Responsible for approving finished product packaging compliance.
- Responsible for verification and validation activities as outlined in SQF code.
- Maintains a safe environment and culture.
- Conducts weekly safety training, audit and observations.
- Bachelor's Degree in applicable field or science for the role.
- Must have at least 5 years quality experience in food manufacturing environment, knowledge of FDA, and experience with 3rd party food safety audits.
- Food Safety Certificates: HACCP, SQF Practitioner, PCQI.
- Demonstrate experience with internal and external quality audits.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills including the ability to interact across organizational levels.

- Experience with approving labeling compliance per regulatory guidelines.
- Dairy Experience preferred.

- Bilingual Spanish
