SolidWorks Detailer

Under the direction of the drafting Manager, the responsibilities of the Detailer/Draftsman position include using SolidWorks software to produce shop drawings. Work hand in hand with dept. manager, shop fabricators, and customers on weldments from conception to production drawings of railings, fencing and miscellaneous metal fabrication products

Read & interpret contract drawings, blue prints and specifications.

Will be responsible to create shop drawings for all fabricated products.

Will work closely with shop foreman and dept. manager to resolve any design issues.

Work with welder/fabricators to assist in the fabrication or welding of multi-component weldments.

Read, understand, and follow job order specifications, engineering drawings, and/or work orders.

Willingness to cross-train and perform the work of other job tasks in addition to the primary assigned position.

Review shop drawings to ensure accuracy

Create CAD/CAM ready files for machine use including waterjet, mandrel bending & milling center.

Perform field measurements to translate into shop drawings.

Perform a variety of complicated tasks, as required.
