Our client, one of the most prestigious Japanese banks in the world are looking for a talented Senior Java Developer to work with their Risk Engines Group as a long-term on site/remote contractor.The firm has more than $300 billion in AUM with a network spanning over 30 different countries and regions. The company provides investment, financing, and related services to individual, institutional, and government customers on a global basis.In this position, you will work with Risk management, Risk quants and the methodology team to understand the business requirements and work towards robust and scalable application design.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, Development of various modules and models involved in the Market risk projects.
  • Work with Risk management, Risk quants and methodology team to understand the business requirements and work towards robust and scalable application design.
  • Articulate technical design & solutions to non-technical / business users.
  • Ownership of project work during difference phases from initiation, development, unit testing to QA, UAT, Staging and Production.
  • Profiling of current application, new changes and identify areas of performance improvement and memory optimization.
  • Writing Unit test cases (JUnit), documenting technical design and other operational procedures (SharePoint)

Qualifications:
  • Expert knowledge in Java
  • 5+ years of commercial experience
  • Knowledge and experience working within public cloud environment, especially AWS.
  • Capital markets, Market & Credit Risk experience.
  • Knowledge and experience working in Python using scientific and data analysis libraries
