We are looking for a Personal Aide to take care of our father. He is currently through Venture Forthe ($17.55), may transfer to Aliyah Care soon ($18.00). He’s a news and sports enthusiast. His days consist of rotating between his wheelchair and the bed, eating good food and watching channel 8. He also enjoys true crime.
He’s a quadriplegic, but has some movement in his left arm, and not on a ventilator. He needs to be fed and a Hoyer lift is used to move him to bed.
The shifts are Mondays-Fridays 3p-11p, 11p-7a.
Weekends are twelve-hour shifts or 7a-3p, 3-11p, 11p-7a
The position calls for personal care (changing, catheter, bathing), light housekeeping (sweeping/mopping, dishes during your shift, laundry), light cooking, appointments (day shift only). Outings when the weather permits (movies, museum).
If you are already working under Venture Forthe, it will be a smoother/faster transition. We are very passionate about his care and well-being and are looking for reliable trustworthy individuals.
