Information Security Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client that is seeking an Information Security Engineer in New York, NY.Summary:We are currently looking to expand the information security team with an experienced Information Security Engineer focusing primarily on cloud security. Your primary effort will be on AWS, but you will also be expected to work on Azure environments. In this role you may need to occasionally travel to other offices around the world and be willing to work out of hours in case of an information security related incident.Responsibilities: Information Security Engineer will develop and implement cloud security solutions (AWS, Azure) Audit and identify weaknesses and threats on systems and be proactive in preventing breaches and incidents Help shape policy and improve current processes As an Information Security Engineer, you will investigate and respond to security incidents when they occur Create reports on incidents and provide root cause analysis and recommendations Work with key stakeholders to understand the group needs and provide technical advice and solutions Work with external partners on information security audits and solutionsREQUIREMENTS: 5+ years of experience in Information Security roles Hands-on experience in designing and implementing cloud security solutions with focus in AWS and Azure Hands-on experience with EDR solutions Experience with cyber security frameworks (i.e., ISO 27001, C.I.S. etc.) Experience with Identity Provider (IDP) solutions (i.e., DUO, Okta, Auth0, etc.) Experience with designing and implementing security solutions across large organizations Keen interest in all areas of cyber security Deep understanding of cloud computing, IT systems, networking, and cyber security principles Core understanding of current cyber security trends and disruptive technologies in the cyber security world Basic understanding of secure software development lifecycle A drive to work and interact with people across the group to better understand their information security needs The ability to work in a team environment Excellent communications skills (verbal and written)Desired: Cyber security or related degree Relevant IT Security qualifications (i.e., Azure Security certs, AWS Certified Security Specialty, CCSP, CISSP etc.) 3+ years of experience in other IT related discipline outside of information security or academic areas Familiar with Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) principles Familiar with Social Engineering techniques and principlesKforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
