United Lift has been in business serving the greater Buffalo area for over 15 years. We are now looking to hire three more self motivated Mechanics to join our team to help and continue to grow. We are open to introducing Auto Mechanics to the equipment industry. As a Mechanic you will be responsible for repair and service of forklifts, skid steers, telehandlers, boom lifts and other machines including electrical and hydraulic systems that these machines have.

Responsibilities and Duties

· Build and assemble machines or mechanical components according to requirements

· Inspect machines, engines, transmissions etc. and run diagnostic tests to discover functionality issues

· Conduct repairs aiming for maximum reliability

· Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner

· Perform thorough maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems

· Clean and apply lubricants to machinery components

· Replenish fluids and components of engines and machinery

· Undertake other duties as assigned (e.g. repair of hydraulic systems, touching up painting etc.)

· Keep logs of work and report on issues

Qualifications

· Proven experience as Mechanic, so not have to be fully machine based but general mechanic skills

· knowledge of machinery and hydraulic, electrical, and other systems and their components are a plus

· Aptitude in using all kinds of tools

· Ability to follow established procedures and practices and read instruction

· Good communication skills

· A problem-solving ability
