Description:
  • We are seeking a Compliance Analyst in the Clinical Information Center that maintains and supports the implementation and ongoing clinical systems used by the department of Health Informatics, primarily focusing on, but not limited to, CIS, ClinDoc, ePrescribe, EMR, Forms on Demand, TeleTracking, Ambulatory and Ancillary systems, Patient Engagement, Connectivity.
  • This person will implement methods, procedures, and system improvements including staff training and regulatory compliance to meet the needs of the Institution in supporting and improving the above systems.

You will:
  • Possess a detailed knowledge and understanding of CIS, other clinical systems, Client policies and procedures, HIPAA, the Joint Commission, and Electronic Health Record workflow in order to ensure that the clinical documentation of physicians, nurses, and other clinicians align with all applicable standards.
  • Supervise the compliance of clinicians in relation to their Clin Doc documentation and to troubleshoot any issues as needed in a timely manner in collaboration with clinicians, departmental managers and Clinical Information Systems.
  • Coordinate the Electronic Medical Record access and on-site review of third party auditors.
  • Review and respond to all requests from patients in regard to amending their medical record.
  • Review all corrections to medical record reports and follow up with appropriate parties to ensure they are in compliance with Client, HIPAA, and Joint Commission guidelines.
  • Optimally connect with clinicians and work closely with the Legal Affairs and Privacy departments in regard to Legal Cases.
  • Work on special assignments involving data management as needed.

You need:
  • 4+ Years of Related experience
  • Experience in Data management and analysis, quality assurance, compliance, and/or legal preferred
  • Overall knowledge of the Electronic Medical Record and Excel
  • Bachelor's Degree or experience in lieu of degree
